ITS A BARN.

I finally got out of the house for an extended trip up to Erie (in Pennsylvania, the state in which I reside) to take a trip to the mall and go out to eat with Sanct and Krody. I thought maybe it'd be a good time for me to grab my camera and take some pictures of shit that went on. So, seeing as this is a picture entry, you should click on all the thumbnails for the full effect.

On the way up to Erie it's pretty generic north-west PA scenery. You travel through a pretty decent chunk of forest, a few average small towns, and of course, farm land. One farm stands out in particular:

Yes, that is a picture of a barn that has the SAME BARN PAINTED ON IT. SERIOUSLY. CLICK ON THE PICTURE AGAIN AND LOOK AT IT. ITS THE SAME GODDAMN BARN! Every time we pass that barn, we erupt in laughter. I often wonder if they did it as a joke or if they just REALLY like their barn. Either way, it's still a great "what the fuck" moment.

We had some time to kill before we sat down to eat and so naturally we decided to go to the pet store. I do kick myself for not taking a picture that shows the fact that there is a PET STORE in the FOOD COURT of the mall. YES. THE PET STORE. IS. IN. THE. FOOD. COURT. Do you know what 30+ puppies, 10+ cats, and about 25+ bunnies and ferrets smell like? The smell isn't great, and it's even better that this smell just seems to hang over the first few food stands. That poor Italian stand and our China Express are lucky their food is strong enough smelling that people still eat from them

Krody did manage to get a cute snapshot of Sanct holding a toy fox terrier. Aw tiny dogs.

The third ridiculous thing I came across was another thing that I've had a repeated experience with. For those of you who have never experienced a Panera, they're pretty fucking bad ass. They're basically a cafe/bakery/sandwich shop that serves a myraid of soups, sandwiches, pastries, and coffee drinks. They're amazing. Seriously, find one and go.

However, recently they've started doing something a little... peculiar.

Now, what you're looking at is soup in a bread bowl. This is an amazing concept. But look. Look at the side they gave me. They gave me a side of bread. THEY. GAVE. ME. A. SIDE. OF. BREAD. WITH MY BREADBOWL. Also, not pictured (because I ate it already) was the plug of bread they dig out to make that loaf of bread into a bowl. So you get bread + bread + bread... + soup. I... I don't know why.

So that was my trip to Erie. It was pretty badass and well needed.

Oh also did I mention that I got a kickass package via UPS today?

And what was in it, you ask?

THAT'S RIGHT CREOLE SEASONING. AND BEER. Or "bear" as I kept typoing it. Hence this awesome note:

This was originally to show how kickass the bottle is, but now is just completely comical because you can tell I was watching PAULA DEAN.

NO MSG!

A BIIIIIIIIIIIIG thanks to Spazz, who sent me this package. The beer is fucking badass as all hell, and a refreshing change up from the dark beers that I'm used to. Also I am hella excited to just add that creole seasoning to pretty much anything.

Plug of the entry: The Bloggess - Ah, Jenny, is there anything you won't blog about? From embarrassing personal swimsuit stories, to her struggle with Rheumatoid Arthritis, to her husband's annoying habits, Jenny "The Bloggess" Lawson is more than willing to share it all. Also, I've talked to her more than a few times over the last year or so, and she is always the sweetest thing when she gets the chance to reply.

PS: She is also freaking adorable
