Roooook

I'm Rook. My real name is Amber Neely, but since about 11th grade I've often used the name Rookie, when we'd play FPS games in the school library. If you can't guess, I was a bit of a newbie. Eventually through the years, it got shortened to Rook or modified to Rookers, depending on what was taken on websites or who was talking to me. It stuck, and I liked it.

I'm a twenty-three year old self-proclaimed geek. A bit narcissistic, a bit of a spazz at times. I love video games, web design, blogging, crafting, books, and I'm a total whore for technology. I love checking out the latest PDAs, Cellphones, Game Consoles, TVs, and general gadgetry. I spend a lot of time browsing the internet and working on improving my website.

I've got an odd sense of humor. It's somewhere between geeky and juvenile, with enough corniness and morbidity to keep it settled just at "bizzare." I'm fairly laid back as far as things go. I like to lounge around and keep my productivity mostly writing and site-development based. I am outgoing socially, though, and enjoy a variety of "real-world" activities, including hiking, camping, swimming, para-sailing, snowboarding, and canoeing/kayaking. I'm addicted to roller-coasters and spinny park rides. I also love quiet me-time activities, like knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, making clothing/doing alterations, and obsessively playing Sudoku for hours on end. I have a slight caffeine addiction, and I love to cook.
